Rules

Every listing has an amount of fuel. The board is sorted by fuel remaining, highest first. That is the entire ranking algorithm. There is no quality score, no editorial input, no boost we can sell you separately.

Fuel decays continuously at 8% per day compounding, which means it never quite hits zero — it just falls below the point where it's worth showing. The formula is public:

fuel_now = last_topup × 0.92 ^ (hours_since_topup ÷ 24)

Decay is computed from timestamps every time the page loads, in UTC. Nothing runs on a schedule, so there is no batch job to be unfair about. A $100 top-up falls to $50 in about 8.3 days.

A top-up adds to what is already burning. If your listing is down to $180 and you add $50, it goes to $230 and the clock resets. Paying again never reduces your fuel.

Minimum top-up is $5. Amounts are whole dollars.

A public website or an X handle. One listing per domain — deep links collapse to the domain, and x.com/name and @name are the same listing, so a company can't buy five slots for itself.

Not allowed, and rejected at checkout where we can detect them:

• Link shorteners and redirect services
• Chat or group invite links (Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp and similar)
• Adult content
• Malware, phishing, and impersonation of another brand or person
• Anything illegal where the site operates

Fuel starts burning the second it lands, so a listing is consumed from minute one. Top-ups are not refundable once the listing is live.

Two exceptions, and we honour both without argument:

• A duplicate charge, or a charge where the listing never appeared — refunded in full.
• A listing we remove for breaking the rules above, when the person who paid wasn't the one breaking them — refunded pro rata on the fuel that hadn't burned yet.

Anyone can report a listing at abuse@rankfuel.lol. If you own a site or handle that someone else listed and you want it off the board, say so and we remove it — no fuel refunded to whoever paid, because that's their problem, not yours.

We can remove any listing at any time. Rank is bought, but staying on the board is not a right.

Listings are advertising. A high rank means someone paid more than everyone else this week. It is not a review, an endorsement, a security audit, or evidence that a product exists. Click through with the same caution you'd use on any ad.

This is not a game of chance, an investment, or a contract for future placement. You are buying a position on a public list for as long as your fuel lasts, and nothing more.

If the decay rate ever changes, it changes going forward only, and the new rate is posted here before it takes effect. Fuel you already bought burns at the rate that applied when you bought it or the new rate, whichever is slower.
